Volunteer Stories: A Week in Assam

Volunteer Stories: A Week in Assam

Volunteering is not just about giving time; it's about connecting with people and sharing experiences. Sarah Jenkins, a software engineer from Mumbai, recently spent a week at our education center in Bongalmora, Assam.

"I wanted to do something meaningful during my leave," Sarah says. "I had read about the NGO's work and decided to travel to Assam to help teach basic computer literacy."

A Life-Changing Experience

Sarah describes her time there as eye-opening. The enthusiasm of the children to learn something as simple as typing on a keyboard was infectious. She helped set up a small computer lab with three donated laptops and taught the kids how to use educational software.

"They are so bright and eager to learn. The language barrier was tough initially, but smiles and patience bridge any gap," she added.

If you're inspired by Sarah's story, consider joining our volunteer program!
